Mike Spriggs (Gage+Desoto) and Klaus Inquisition (Cycling Inquisition) join me once again to chat about oil money, boring races (read: Wallung Hill), buying the Tour de France and Phil Liggett's memory loss and Paul Sherwen's awful Spanish.

  2. Best podcast to date. Those beers must have done their job. Two points;

    1) when you go international I'll happily be your Australasian correspondent

    2) When I was young I used to love Phil and Paul. I even used to hear their voices in my head as I rode, commentating on my imaginary escape from the non-existent bunch behind me. Now I'm older and maybe a little wiser, I still don't mind Paul, even with his skills in Spanish. Phil Liggett drives me nuts though. It's not just that he's such a fanboy, blowing smoke up Lance's arse and repeatedly saying bout Valverde in the TDU that he was "controversially banned" (no controversy, he's a fucking cheat that got caught), but what really drives me crazy is that he gets into a story or sentence and then completely misses an attack or some other important development. It's as if he closes his eyes when he speaks. Is he getting too old or just lazy?
